Semi-Automatic
Card Tricks (Steve Beam) BOOK
$55.00
Since
the first volume was published in 1993, the Semi-Automatic Card
Tricks series has become the largest and most reliable resource
for professional caliber, non-sleight of hand card magic. Full-time
magicians and conjuring hobbyists alike have come to rely on the
creative card magic stored in these volumes when they want to go for
the jugular.
Calling
on his 15 years editing the underground sleight of hand journal
The Trapdoor, the author seamlessly blends diabolical methods with
humorous presentations proving once again that it is possible to
captivate an audience with only pasteboards and personality. In
addition to fifty items of his own creation, the author has brought
together over two dozen of his friends from around the world who
have contributed fifty of their pet effects to this volume. This
is high-octane, low-fat, innovative card magic built from the ground
up. These effects feature the latest in card trick technology incorporating
new principles and little-known subtleties.
Whether
you want to out-magic your fellow magicians or fry the synapses
of your lay audiences, this is real magic for the real world.

$45.00
Written
by Jimmy Nuzzo and Edward Marlo and Edited and Annotated by Jon Racherbaumer
200 Page
Hard Bound Book with color dust jacket – over 200 photographs
19 new Jimmy Nuzzo techniques; Updated reprints of the highly collected
Nuzzo Marlo manuscripts published in 1982, 21 st Century Card Magic;
Unforgettable Wild Card and Plus Package. "Any pulse-checking,
hard-core cardmen in the late 60s, knew about Jimmy Nuzzo. If they
didn’t get to see him in person, they were familiar with the
select ideas he published—ideas that probably seemed celestial
at the time but were nevertheless interesting and enticing." -
from Jon Racherbaumer’s Prologue.
In the
Nuzzo Touch there is Jimmy’s audience-tested repertoire. It
includes his fabulous Side Steal and lightning-fast Card to the Pocket.
The book incorporates three hard-to-find, private manuscripts that
Nuzzo and Marlo published in the 1980’s, Plus Package; Unforgettable
Wild Card; and 21 st Century Card Magic. Jimmy invented the Hung
Card, one of the most tightly held secrets in magic.
Dr. James
(Jimmy) Nuzzo is a Podiatric Surgeon in the Chicago Suburban area.
He is an expert in sleight of hand. He has performed for corporate
events, medical conferences and private parties of famous actors.
He studied sleight of hand with Edward Marlo and published with Marlo
three manuscripts included in this book.
Jon Racherbaumer

written many of the most influential magic books in the last 30 years
. A recipient of a Literary Fellowship from the Academy of Magical
Arts
and Science (Magic Castle), he also collaborated with Ed Marlo on

Edward
Marlo (1913 – 1991) was Jimmy’s inspirational teacher
and mentor. His brilliance in card magic can be found is his prolific

Effects- Magic of Joe Mogar (Steve Beam) BOOK
$45.00
Joe Mogar
has specialized in thimble magic for the last fifty years. Here,
for the first time, Joe parts with the secrets he has used to reinvent
this branch of the art. In addition to diabolically clever sleights,
effects, and methods, there are dozens of ideas on how to introduce
thimbles into your act and how to present the material.
Thimble
magic is extraordinarily visual. Thimbles appear, disappear, morph,
change color, migrate, and penetrate. There is no dealing, signing,
shuffling, memorizing, or counting. This is all magic, all the time.
And, it is the best kind of magic, magic that must be seen to be
appreciated. Multiple presentational hooks are included which can
be interchanged with related effects. There is even an innovative
Routine Builder which will help you bring the individual parts together
into a cohesive and flowing act.
Hardbound,
230 pages, 200+ illustrations. Ninety items.
The
Secret Art of Magic (Eric Evans & Nowlin Craver) BOOK
$40.00
The Secret
Art of Magic is comprised of two sections, essentially two books:
Street Magic & The Art of War" and "The Secret Art of Dispersion."Separate,
yet inextricably linked by the paradigm of ancient war strategy.
Street
Magic & The Art of Waruses strategies from Sun Tzu's The Art
of War to teach the intricacies of street magic—from trick
selection, to the pitch, to stopping people, to handling hecklers,
to building a crowd, to collecting the hat. Its most profound lessons,
however, deal with controlling yourself and your audience—the
most critical thing for all performers.
Though
Street Magic and The Art of War is already being called "THE
textbook" for street magic, ultimately the most important—and
largest at 170pp—section of the book is The Secret Art of Dispersion.
It provides a framework to understand, assimilate, and implement
deception as never before.
Using
an ancient Chinese manuscript of 36 strategies for deception in warfare,
The Secret Art of Dispersion teaches a new and expanded approach
to misdirection—dispersion. Based on the military concept of
dispersing concentration, it not only encompasses the concept of
directing/misdirecting attention, but unifies all the ways magicians
control their audience's awareness—not just of what they see,
but of what they think about (and conversely, and perhaps more importantly,
what they don't think about). While misdirection is usually thought
of as a tool just for sleight of hand or manipulation, The Secret
Art of Dispersion uses a plethora of examples to show the applications
of dispersion with apparatus, illusions, stand-up, doves, mentalism,
and children's magic as well.
